Family Support Services is a funding source that helps families care for their loved one who has a developmental disability at home. Money is provided to the Noble County Board of Developmental Disabilities by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. The support is intended to enhance the quality of life for the entire family and includes:

Respite Care
Adaptive Equipment
Home modifications to accommodate the family member with a disability
Special Diets
Other services/items needed to meet the family’s needs

To receive FSS funds, the family must be caring for the person with a developmental disability at home and the person must be eligible for services through the County Board (even if he or she is not receiving services at the time of request).
